For those curious, I am participating in NaNoWriMo this year (National Novel Writers Month) and I hope to hit the goal. I'm at almost 4800 words after two days. I may be updating occasionally on my progress and I expect you, my friends, to kick my ass if I seem to be slacking off.

This is something I really need to do.

Leaving in an hour to go out of town for the weekend for Rae's wedding. I'll be a stunning bridesmaid and she will be an amazing bride. So you all take care and try not to burn down your houses while I'm gone. :)

Things are going good here. I am in the midst of finalizing my packing for moving on Saturday. For the first time in a long time, I feel like I actually am on top of it and I will not be scrambling Saturday morning to pack 10 boxes. Instead, I will only be packing the few last minute items that I used the night before, such as my computer and my bedding.

For those who don't know, for the next few months I will be moving out to the suburbs where I will be living with the Goldrichs and their three cats. It should be interesting and it will allow me the chance to start getting my money back together and maybe actually find a job.

In other news, I'm doing a whole watching shows I've never seen before extravaganza. So far I've watched Supernatural, Scrubs and I've got Fringe and House on the back burner. Any suggestions of what else to watch?

Past that, not a whole lot going on. I'm hoping my current roomate will make it back to the apartment before I move so we can make sure most of her stuff is out of the way for my move...that way the movers don't accidentally take any of her boxes. Although I kind of moved everything around the apartment to make it easier and put her items all on the kitchen counter.

Anyway, I can't think of anything else to talk about.

Now the video itself is cute. What gets me is that the instant I started playing it, my cat jumped up onto the desk and started listening for the source of the meowing until he finally whapped one of my speakers off the desk. Takeda is hilarious sometimes.


Edit: Although now one of his eyes is twitching. Maybe I should stop with the talking cat videos. :)

I was sent a video of my cousins wedding that I wasn't invited to thanks to being "cut out of the family" by her father. It was a nice ceremony and my cousin looked good as always. But watching the video, it's hard to see how old my grandfather is getting. He used to be the old man who boozed and loved women and was surly. Like Saul Tigh from Battlestar except with Gaius Baltars libido.

LARP LARP is something I've been doing for years now. Like many gamers, I've matured and am not playing a thousand games but I have my choice games now: Changeling New WoD, a couple Garou games and a new WoD Mage game, if it restarts. I find it fun to pay $5 and have a good night of fun.

cute women What can I say about cute women? There's something about a woman who is just cute, not hot. Hot women are intimidating. Cute women are down to earth, like the girl next door. They seem more like the kind of women you want to marry or be best friends with. They don't judge you as harshly and they are just fun.

wildness Wildness has so many meanings. I'll take it in the fun way as I'm sure it was meant. Wildness is something I don't do often. I am a very controlled person. But when I get the chance to really let my hair down and not give a shit about anything, I will do some crazy stuff that will scare even the best of my friends who know me well.

parties Parties I can take em or leave them. I like to host a nice party for friends where everyone can relax and be themselves. I don't drink much unless I'm hosting. Even then I like to stay alert for the occasional idiot. For other people's parties, I like Rock Band now :)

kink I am not as into kink as some may think. I'm rather vanilla in bed in fact. Sure I've done some fun stuff but nothing to write home about. However, I find kink fascinating and arousing nonetheless.

Yesterday I said I was fucked.

Today I hit almost rock bottom as I got arrested for a suspended license and my car impounded due to expired plates. Luckily my mom was with me so I was bailed out quickly.

I can't seem to catch a break here. With my finances in the toilet, adding more money to the pool was just icing on the big "fuck you" cake.

I don't think I can take anymore.

Ever realize that you are completely fucked? That's my realization for today. I knew was I was screwed but I didn't know how much until I sat down and did my finances today.

To give you an idea...I get $1400 from the government every month. My bills are over $1500 and that doesn't include food or gas for the car.. I won't get into details but I am about $1500 behind on my bills and I owe people money already.

I just don't know what I will do. I would love to move to a cheaper place but I will not be *that* roomate who abandons people. I would even consider giving up my car but that would be futile seeing as I would still have the payments anyways. Cable is a joint bill and my cell phone is needed for job stuff.

This is just mindless bitching here just because times are rough. I know I'm not the only one going through this and for those who are, I hope things get better for you. It's just hard when I realize that the little bit of food in my cabinet has to last me for the next month and a half.

On the plus side, maybe I'll lose some weight.

Two out of three of all my single friends is either bitter, sad, or annoyed about Valentine's Day. I find it a sweet holiday for those who have someone. I've had amazing V-days and I've had ones like this year where I sit at home on the compy all day. I guess just don't understand any of those attitudes over a holiday dedicated to love. I like to be happy for my friends no matter what my situation is.

Of course it helps to not be bitter, sad, or annoyed when I come home to the cute:

So some good news for me. I just had my telephone hearing with the Illinois Unemployment Referee and I was right. My employer didn't file a timely hearing request and the excuse he gave as to why was not enough to let the hearing continue. So this hearing has been closed for now although my old employer will get information on how to appeal to the Board now. I'm not sure if that will pan out but at least I seem to have a reprieve and I can continue to collect unemployment.
